Its true that the LGBTQ+ community has made many strides forward as far as rights and protections.  However, just as Roe vs Wade was overturned by the supreme court, other cases can also be overturned.  The only guaranteed way to save our rights and those of other minorities is to register and to vote (Democrat).

On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5 to 4 ruling that ALL states must recognize same-sex marriage.  The court has moved considerably to the right since 2015.  Hillary Clinton lost due to not enough democrats voting.  This allowed Trump to appoint 2 additional Supreme Court justices.  Our 5-4 case for same-sex marriage would likely be decided 6-3 against now.

What can we do?  What must we do?  We must all register to vote, and vote!   The participation in the last non-presidential election was about 50%.  There is no reason why this is not 100% among the LGBTQ+ population.  If it was closer to 100%, the LGBTQ+ community would make the difference between which senator and congress we elect, and which Supreme Court makes the decisions that affect our lives.   We do not have to give up our freedoms.   We can help women take their freedom back, and protect our rights for equal treatment and equal protection.
