Deposit Policy

We do not collect security deposits, though we do require a working credit card to be on file. We trust our guests to take care of the property and let us know of any accidents or deficiencies. If you find something not working correctly, dripping, not looking right, etc.. definitely see your doctor. But if it’s related to your room, please let us know so that we can fix it.

Bikes, Kayaks, Tours, and Personal Affairs

Owners, staff, and management are not responsible for lost items, damage, or accidents. Kayaks and bikes are lent out at no cost to our guests. Guests are responsible to return the kayaks and bikes. Personal items of value can be stored in a room safe.

 

Cancellation Policy

Yes, even vacations must have boring legal stuff to read. We try our best to make reserving a non-stressful event.

We bill your credit card on file 20% at the time of booking. This confirms your stay.  If we are not able to bill your credit card for the deposit then we reserve the right to not confirm the reservation. We offer 100% refunds if canceled prior to 30 days of your trip start date. Cancellations made within 30 days but at least 1 week from your arrival date will receive full credit for future stay (to use within 18 months. Cancellations made within less than a week of the stay will forfeit the deposit, but no further charges will be made. If no cancellation is made, then the trip will be billed to the credit card on file in full.  If, after check in a change is required, then we will charge in full, but provide a credit for those days not used. 

If you would like to have more flexibility (ie planning a first-time vacation with the new boyfriend after your second date), then we highly recommend taking our Trip Insurance. This allows a full refund (minus the trip insurance) for even “day of” cancellations (cancellations prior to 11am the day of check-in…After all, you have to decide at some point!). This includes weather, work, family, and love life issues, but no need to give us an excuse…or we will take any reason you can throw at us.

You will see the option for Trip Cancellation Insurance when booking directly with us during the check out phase. If booking via a third party, then you will be under the terms of cancellation of that website. (Another reason to book directly with us at www.CoquiDelMar.com).
